Vienna

Not feeling very motivated to keep this blog going as it takes forever to resize and upload the photos onto this blog.

Vienna, in my opinon, is like a smaller scale of Paris. Not as grand, but equally charming. To be honest, I didn't like Vienna as much as I thought I would. Perhaps it was the bad weather, as it rained four days out of the five we were there. Or maybe I have too high an expectation for this place before I came, as it is afterall the place of classical music and waltz. We attended a concert on our second night at Vienna, which played the music of Johann Strauss and Mozart. Again, the concert didn't quite meet my expectation.

The Hofburgh Palace. In the Palace, we visited the Kaiserappartements (original apartments and offices of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth), Sisi (aka Empress Elisabeth) Musesum and Schatzkammer (Imperial Tresury). After this visit, I was so fascinated with the life of Empress Elisabeth that I brought the book "The Reluctant Empress, a biography of Empress Elisabeth of Austria" by Brigitte Hamann. Don't have many photos of the Hofburgh Palace as we are not allowed to take photos inside the Palace.

The Belvedere Palace which is now an art gallery housed the works of Klimt and Schiele which I particularly enjoyed.

One of the oldest Ferris Wheel in the world.

The Schonbrunn Palace.
