Arrive at Bergen.
Our hotel, Clarion Collection Hotel Havnekontoret, which I'm unable to pronounce. Havnekontoret means Harbour Office. A historical building built in 1920 for a Norwegian Shipping Company. It's pretty special to be able to stay in this historical building. And even better that we are able to get access to the clocktower, which I think, has the best view of Bergen's Bryggen and the surrounding. And we have complimentary DIY Norwegian waffles for afternoon tea everyday
Norwegian waffles!
The creepy section of the hotel up to the clocktower.
We feel so lucky to be to stand at the clocktower and enjoy these views which is for hotel guests only.
Floibanen funicular railway to Mount Floyen.
Hennig Olsen has the best softis.
No witches and photo bombs.
Dinner at the fish market.
Enjoying the warm summer evening.
Day 27 (24 July 2017)
Bryggen.
We discover amazing Norwegian sweet buns and coffee the way we like it at Godt Brod. Our favourite bakery in Norway.
We generally like markets as it is a great place to experience the local food. But we hate the fish market in Bergen. It is a scam and tourists trap. Everything is overprice. For example, these three sticks of nothing cost us AUD $80. We waited forever for the food, and believe it or not, the wait staff told us to tip them. Like WTF.
More general photos.
Dinner at Anne Madam. J had whale steaks because he want to make sure he has the true experience of eating whale.
I'm sticking with mussels. Again.
