Stockholm - Part 1

Day 7 (4 July 2017)

Hej. That's hello in Swedish.

Arrive in Stockholm at about 1pm. Check into First Hotel Resin. And OMG, we were beyond excited to get an executive suite!

Love the view from our balcony.

J sneaked a photo of me taking photos.

Late lunch at Restaurang Tradition. Highly recommend this place if you are after traditional Swedish food.

Complimentary bread. Where we discovered the most delicious bread - Kavring (the dark bread in the bucket). It's sweet and savoury, and almost cake-like. I can taste fennel, anise and probably some type of molasses. So so good! And we have lingondrick, which we think means lingoberries drink?

Steamed cod with shrimps, horseradish and apple butter sauce.

Swedish potato dumpling filled with fried salted pork, served with browned butter and lingonberries.

Statue outside the Royal Palace of Stockholm. Probably someone important.

The royal chapel. Part of the royal palace. Free admission. So we thought why not.

Wandered in the old town for a bit and came across this narrow alley where there was a queue for photo op in this alley. Not sure what the fuss was about. But a queue to non-food related location usually means tourist attraction. So we joined the queue.

Stortorget.

And some random stuff in close vicinity to the old town in no particular order.
